System and Browser Compatibility

Top Speed Photography is best enjoyed using FireFox version 2.0 or higher with a screen resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels. The browser must have cookies and javascript enabled, otherwise most of the functionality of Smugmug and our website will not be available.

Internet Explorer 7 and Opera 9 and their higher versions are well supported as well, with only small differences in appearances.

Safari browser version 1.2 and higher should also be well supported.

IE 6.0 and pictures 'flicker'

MS Internet Explorer version 6.0 has an issue with displaying images in the background. As soon as you move your mouse over it or after a pop-up window has been shown, the image may flicker because the image is redownloaded from the server.

You can virtually eliminate this problem by setting the 'Check for newer versions of stored pages' to 'Automatically'.

If this does not get rid of the flicker (entirely), please clear your browser's cache (use the Tools menu-bar item's 'Internet Options... --> General --> Temporary Internet Files: Delete Files...').
